Lisa Mildren

WOODRUFF, Wis. - Lisa Mildren, 54, a lifelong resident of the Northwoods, died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016, at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff.

She was born in Phelps on June 17, 1962, to parents Robert and Judy Sauter. Lisa met the love of her life Ronald "Ross" Mildren at college in Ironwood, Mich. They married in May 1981 and moved back to Lisa's hometown of Land O' Lakes.

She loved to cook and play cards. She was an avid outdoors woman that loved to fish and have picnics with her family at Lake Superior. Lisa was a fabulous wife, mother and grandmother, who loved to spend time with her family. She was smart as a whip and could beat anyone in Jeopardy.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Tom Sauter.

She is survived by her husband, Ross Mildren of Land O' Lakes; daughters, Judy Mildren of Eagle River, and Jill Mildren of Appleton; son, Jason (Lydia) Mildren of Las Vegas; sisters, Chrissy (Pat) Mayer of Land O' Lakes, and Renee (Dave) Nitka of Eagle River; four grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, Nov. 29, at Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River.
