LAKE GOGEBIC, Mich. - Carol A. Peterson, 73, a long-time resident of Lake Gogebic, passed away Tuesday morning, Feb. 14, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
Carol was born on Sept. 20, 1943, in Bessemer Township, a daughter of Harold E. and Carol A. (Dahl) Lake. She attended Wakefield High School and graduated in 1961. Carol continued her education at Gogebic Community College.
On Dec. 28, 1963, Carol was united in marriage to Glen A. Peterson at the First Lutheran Church in Wakefield.
Carol was an executive secretary at White Pine Copper Company for 31 years. She retired in 1996.
Carol had many interests, including gardening and knitting.
Carol is survived by her husband, Glen; two sisters, Donna Lake, Wakefield, and Jeannine (Tim) MacLeod, Marenisco; her brother-in-law, Norman Peterson; three aunts; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents.
In accordance with Carol's wishes, cremation has taken place.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
