Mercer Library Friends thank community with pie social

MERCER, Wis. - Pies of virtually every flavor were on the menu Sunday at the Mercer Community Center as the Friends of the Mercer Library held its annual pie social.

The purpose of this event - it's not a fundraiser," Friends president Wendy Thiede said. "It's just an event to give back to the community because we have so many wonderful library supporters in this community. It's just something we could do."
