Angie (Favero) Fabbri

BESSEMER, Mich. - Angie (Favero) Fabbri, 75, of Bessemer, passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 19, 2017, after a brief illness.

Angie was born on Oct. 30, 1941, in Ironwood, a daughter of Peter Ernest and Mary A. (Sabor) Favero of Anvil Location. She attended Anvil and Ramsay schools and graduated from A.D. Johnston High School in Bessemer in 1959. Angie was an honor thespian who took great pleasure writing poetry.

She worked at Voss' Birchwood Lodge in Manitowish Waters, Wis., and Dairymen's Resort in Boulder Junction, Wis., until she was married.

On Dec. 28, 1963, Angie married the love of her life, Gene D. Fabbri at Christ the King Catholic Church in Ramsay by the Rev. Louis C. Cappo. They were blessed with five children.

Angie was a beloved wife, a devoted mother, and a grandmother who absolutely adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her loving and giving heart was endless, as she gave unconditionally to those in need.

Angie was a faithful member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wakefield, and a lifelong member of Christ the King Parish and a supporting member of the women's guild.

She was a meticulous, creative and talented homemaker.

Angie had a special place for all animals, especially Shena, Koda, Kilo, Bentley, Sid, Benny, Daisy, Reggie and her newest puppy, Torie.

She will be greatly missed, but Angie will always be held near to our hearts.

Angie is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Gene; five children, Scott Fabbri, Todd (Cindy) Fabbri, Jamie (April) Fabbri, Dean (Kelly) Fabbri and Michele (Tom) Fabbri-Kessler; eight grandchildren, Kassy, Vini, Deidra, Dominic, Anthony and Corey (Steph) Fabbri, Brittany Schwartz (Andy Malovrh) and Jonnie Beasley; three great-grandchildren, Rhiley, Arianna and Callie Jo; a dedicated sister, Roseann (Dennis) Govednik; her sister-in-law, Brunetta Johnson; her brother-in-law, John Fabbri; an aunt, Doris Sabor; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a very special friend, Gretchen.

She was predeceased by her parents; her compassionate sister, MaryLee Favero; her grandparents; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wakefield on Tuesday, July 25, from 6 to 8 p.m., where the rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m.

Visitation will continue at the church on Wednesday, July 26, from 10 to 10:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Dominic Agyapong, celebrant.

Also in attendance will be the Immaculate Conception Women's Guild Honor Guard.

Pallbearers will be Angie's family.

A luncheon will be served at the church hall following the Mass.

Rite of Committal and interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery, Bessemer.
