Nobody on November ballot in Bessemer

BESSEMER — Bessemer City Clerk Jim Trudgeon informed the Daily Globe the ballot for the November election for city council members will be blank, with five open slots to be filled by write-in candidates.

Because of an error in election calendar usage, Trudgeon admitted the filing deadline for prospective city council members was erroneously listed as Aug. 9, when in reality it was July 25.
