Anti-bullying assembly planned for local students

IRONWOOD — Community Mental Health, in collaboration with the Range Suicide Prevention Council, Cornerstone Church and various local school districts will host another Life Quest anti-bullying assembly for local students.

World Champion martial artist Mariah Moore will be the speaker. She is from the Grand Rapids area, and will be providing her “Enough is Enough” anti-bullying assembly to the middle- and high-school students.

Students from Wakefield-Marenisco, A.D. Johnston in Bessemer, Luther L. Wright in Ironwood, Hurley and Ewen-Trout Creek schools are planning to attend.

Two sessions are planned for Friday, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. and from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., at Gogebic Community College. 

Moore’s assembly will include two martial arts demonstrations to music, motivational and anti-bullying talk, questions and answers, prize giveaways and autograph signings.
