Daily Globe press restored after lightning strike

A lightning strike shortly after 8 p.m. Monday caused significant damage to the Daily Globe's printing press, leaving the paper unable to produce a print edition for Tuesday, Dec. 5.

All local news from the edition was posted here at yourdailyglobe.com for no charge. Digital subscribers were not impacted.

UPDATE: Printing capabilities were restored Tuesday afternoon. Subscribers will receive both Tuesday, Dec. 5, and Wednesday, Dec. 6, editions in Wednesday's mail.
