Marion Eileen Luckhardt

SALINE, Mich. - Marion Eileen Luckhardt (Jacobson) passed away peacefully from complications due to Alzheimer's, with her husband at her side, Jan. 8, 2018, at the Evangelical Home, Saline.

Marion was born on Feb. 18, 1939, to Waino and Aili Jacobson in Bessemer. She graduated from Bessemer High School in 1957. On Dec. 28, 1957, Marion married Willis Luckhardt; they had three sons, Michael, Steven and David.

Marion was a secretary at the University of Michigan for several years. She enjoyed many activities, including cooking, baking, sewing, reading and especially taking care of her grandchildren. Marion also loved traveling up north to visit where she grew up.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Willis Luckhardt; three sons, Michael (Joy), Steven, and David (Kimberly Kirkland); and her sister, Judy (Meyer.) She also leaves her two loving grandchildren, Caitlyn and Adam Luckhardt, along with many family and friends.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 420 W. Liberty, in Ann Arbor, with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service. A luncheon at the church will follow the service.
