Beulah J. Carli

IRONWOOD, Mich. — Beulah J. Carli, 89, of 316 W. Norrie Street, Ironwood, passed away Monday, Jan. 29, 2018, in Ironwood.

She was born Sept. 29, 1928, in Ironwood, daughter of the late Stephen and Edith (Anderson) Barnes. Beulah attended Luther L. Wright High School, graduating with the class of 1946.

On Oct. 15, 1949, Beulah was married to Robert J. “Wheezer” Carli at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Ironwood. He preceded her in death on Aug. 5, 2001.

Surviving are three daughters, Susan (Brent) Nyberg, of Tomahawk, Wis., Kathleen (William) Redmond, of Williamston, and Patricia Carli Foley, of Ironwood; two sons, Robert (Margo) Carli, of Marquette, and Lawrence Carli, of Edgewater, Fla .; nine grandchildren, Joseph and Kelly Kapugia, Brian and Michelle Redmond, Marcus, Robyn and Ryan Carli, Trevor and Jared Carli. A brother, James Barnes, of Rochester, N.Y., also survives.

Besides her parents and husband, Beulah was preceded in death by sisters, Virginia “Toodles” Mezzano, Julanne “Dewey” Thomas and Shirley Mattson. A brother, Floyd Barnes, also preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood at 11 a.m. Rev. Robb Jurkovich will be the celebrant. Beulah’s family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass in the St. Joseph’s Family Room at the church.

Luncheon will follow at the Elk and Hound on Country Club Road in Ironwood.

Spring inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood.
