Jeffrey Glenn 'Jeff' Aho

ORLANDO, Fla. - Jeffrey Glenn "Jeff" Aho, 65, a native of Ironwood Township, Mich. and formerly of Green Bay, Wis., died Monday morning, Jan. 29, 2018, at Bridgeport Assisted Living in Orlando.

Jeff was born Dec. 16, 1952, in Ironwood, Mich., son of Ida (Niemi) Lindberg and the late Glenn Aho, attended Roosevelt School from kindergarten through the eighth grade and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School with the Class of 1971. While in high school, Jeff enjoyed sports, playing football, basketball and baseball. He attended Gogebic Community College for one year and graduated from Michigan State University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology. He then obtained numerous certificates in orthotics and prosthetics from Northwestern University in Chicago and earned his internship at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapids, Mich. He worked at various hospitals and rehabilitation centers until retiring from the Marshfield Clinic in Wausau, Wis. in 2011.

Jeff's interests included playing softball, skiing, camping and traveling. He especially liked fishing on the ""Big Lake" or bagging a buck, at least saying he tried.

He married Sara Eggleston in her hometown of West Lafayette, Ind. in 1984.

Surviving are two daughters, Kathryn Aho and Bethany Aho, both of Orlando; his mother, Ida Lindberg, Ironwood; a brother, David (Cecilia) Aho, Hurley, Wis .; nephews, Kai Aho and Casey Aho; and a niece, Heather (Fred) Emmerich.

Besides his father, Jeff was predeceased by a brother, Gregory Aho, in 2001.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Feb. 10, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5120 E. Margaret St., in Ironwood, with Pastor Kurt Brandon officiating.

Luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall.

Spring committal and inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood.
