LAKELAND, Fla. - Sue Ann Paro, age 69, of Menominee, Mich., passed away unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at Lakeland Medical Center in Florida with family by her side.

She was born in Marinette on June 19, 1948; daughter of the late Charles and Stella (Hergan) Downs. In 1975, Sue was united in marriage to her true love, Chuck Paro. Sue and Chuck loved to travel and had many memorable adventures. Sue was primarily a homemaker, however as her children grew, she began working at Abelman Clothing in Bessemer, Mich., where she indulged in shopping for her children and grandchildren. Sue loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She also enjoyed riding with the top down in her new convertible, wintering in Florida, Disney, shopping, fishing, golfing, talking on the phone, playing cards, Scrabble and bowling. Sue adored the beach and could be found relaxing in the sun whenever she had a chance, as long as there were no bees. Sue was a long standing member of St. Agnes Catholic Church.

Sue is survived by her four children: Selina Paro, of Lakeland; Shannon Paro (Meryl Kelch), of Weston, Wis .; Chadd Paro, of Marinette, Wis .; and Amy Deschane (Scott Kamps), of Crivitz, Wis .; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is survived by her siblings: Chuck Downs, Rick (Michelle) Downs and Jean (Jack) Ehlinger. Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be on Feb. 10, 2018, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Amberg, Wis., at 11 a.m., with Father Don Burkart presiding. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will follow at the Amberg Cemetery. Sue cordially invites you to attend a chicken dinner with a celebratory toast following the interment at St. Agnes Fellowship Hall.
