Mary Ann Develski

DULUTH, Minn. — Mary Ann Develski, 76, of Bessemer, Mich., passed away on March 12, 2018, in Duluth.

Mary Ann was born to Edward G. and Myrtle E. (Olson) Strahs on Nov. 19, 1941, in Evanston, Ill. She attended Ramsay Grade School and was a 1959 graduate of A.D. Johnston High School in Bessemer. She attended Northern Michigan University, where she studied practical nursing.

On Nov. 23, 1963, she married Ronald Develski at Sharon Lutheran Church in Bessemer. Staying home and raising her family was her most important work. She was also employed with Divine Infant in Wakefield and worked for her parents at the Tip-Top. She later retired from Big Dollar.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, gardening and doing jigsaw puzzles.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Ron, children: Robin (Bruce) Sobolewski, of Holmen, Wis., Patti (Scott) Pospeck, of Bessemer, grandchildren, Anthony (Jenny) Sobolewski, Austin (Melanie) Sobolewski, Jeremy Pospeck, Justin (Miranda Sabatini) Pospeck and Josh Pospeck, brother, Edward (Shirley) Strahs, of Onalaska, Wis., one great-grandchild on the way, as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be a visitation for Mary Ann on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Sharon Lutheran Church, 100 East Sellar St., in Bessemer. Memorial services will be at the church on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bill Jacobson officiating.

Frick-Zielinski Funeral Home of Bessemer is assisting the family.
