Steven Dean Rahko Pozega

HARVEY, Mich. - Steven Dean Rahko Pozega, 21, of Harvey, entered eternal life Sunday, March 18, 2018.

Born Jan. 29, 1997, in Hinsdale, Ill., a son of Robert L. and Deanna L. (Rahko) Pozega, Steven was raised mostly in the Upper Peninsula. He attended elementary school in Ironwood and Bessemer, middle school and high school in Marquette and Ironwood, and he took classes at Gogebic Community College. Since the Fall of 2017, Steven had been enrolled at Northern Michigan University, studying computer science.

Steven was an avid skateboarder and snowboarder, and enjoyed creating digital videos and computer programming. He was a member of St. Louis the King Catholic Church in Harvey.

He was much loved by his family, a very loving and protective older brother. Family and friends will forever miss his quiet wit and sarcastic sense of humor.

Survivors include his parents, Robert and Deanna; his brother, Jack, all of Harvey; maternal grandparents, Dean and Sally Rahko of Ironwood; paternal grandmother, Janet Pozega of Ironwood; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Steven was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert Lee Pozega, Sr.

The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Louis the King Catholic Church, Harvey, on Wednesday, March 21, beginning at 11 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Glenn Theoret, pastor, as celebrant. A reception will follow in Father Gauthier Hall.
