Anita Miriam (Jacobson) Schoenherr

MIDLAND, Mich. - Anita Miriam (Jacobson) Schoenherr, age 85, gracefully accepted the loving embrace of her heavenly Father on March 21, 2018.

She entered eternal life at her home in Midland, in the presence of her loving family. Anita loved her family and friends and was full of joy and zest for life! She enjoyed having gatherings and always made you feel at home.

Anita was born July 14, 1932, to William and Sylvia Jacobson of Erwin Township. She graduated from Ironwood High School in 1950. After graduation, she moved to Centerline, Mich. She met Ronald Schoenherr, her true love; they were married in the Catholic Church in Centerline, on Nov. 7, 1953. Together they raised four children in Madison Heights. In 1973, the family moved to Sanford, amd in 1980 moved to "La La Land" in Lee Township. Ronald and Anita spent the past 25 years wintering in Arizona.

Surviving is her husband, Ronald, of 64 years; children William (Christine) Schoenherr, of Port Charlotte, Fla., Ronita Snyder, of Midland, Greg Schoenherr, of Erwin Township and Joseph (Candice) Schoenherr, of Hope. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, many good friends and extended family. She was predeceased by her father in 1963 and mother in 2009, and brother, Donald Jacobson, in 2012.

A memorial service is planned for Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Sanford.
