Annabelle Lorraine Kuismi

SEYMOUR, Wis. - Annabelle Lorraine Kuismi, 94, passed away on April 3, 2018, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour.

She was born on Oct. 9, 1923, to Julius and Bertha (Lauren) Mashl.

After graduating from Saxon High School, Annabelle married Arne (Sam) Kuismi on Feb. 7, 1942. They were married for 50 years until his death on Feb. 8, 1992.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Roland Mashl; and brothers-in-law, Gust Kuismi and Robert Stark.

Annabelle is survived by her four children, Dale Kuismi, Carol (Frank) Karnowski, Daniel Kuismi and Denise (Boyd) Johnson. She is further survived by four grandchildren, Susann Karnowski, Laurie (Dennis) Martin, Amanda Karnowski (Shawn Frelich), and Benjamin Johnson.

She was "Gigi" to her three great-grandchildren, Amelia and Joseph Martin, and Allyson Frelich.

She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Vila Mashl, and nephews and nieces.

Annabelle lived at her lake home until she was 88 years old. She loved traveling and took many trips to Florida, as well as special trips to Hawaii and to Europe with her granddaughters.

In accordance with Annabelle's wishes, a private memorial for immediate family will be held at a later date.
