An De Lesky

IRONWOOD, Mich. - An De Lesky, 58, of Ironwood, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, April 16, 2018, at Aspirus Ironwood Hospital in Ironwood.

An was born on June 24, 1959, in Wakefield, a daughter of John A. and Nancy J. (Kleimola) Leskoviansky. She attended A.D. Johnston High School in Bessemer and graduated in 1977. An continued her education in Duluth, Minn., and earned a medical assistant degree.

An was a fun loving and free spirited person. She was a very talented individual and touched many people's lives with her contagious laughter and lively personality.

An enjoyed painting, crafts, astronomy, gardening and collecting minerals and rocks. She adored her pets, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

An is survived by her siblings, John (Linda) Lesky, Wakefield, Jane Leskoviansky (Bill Berglund), Hibbing, Minn., Frank (Cheryl) Leskoviansky and Renee Leskoviansky, both of Bessemer, Jeanette (Ronald) Verthein, Wakefield, and Susan Leskoviansky Foster (Mike Neitzel), Bessemer; son, Dustin Helquist and his daughter, Isla; several nieces, nephews and cousins; two great-nephews; and special friends, Janey Suvanto and Scott Sandquist.

She was predeceased by her parents; her stepmother, Geraldine (July) Leskoviansky; a sister, Donna, at birth; and her beloved dog, Iris.

The family will be respecting An's last wishes and will be having a small celebration of her life in the near future with family and friends.

Expressions of affection in a charitable contribution in An's memory are suggested in lieu of flowers to HOPE Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 261, Ironwood, MI 49938.
