KENOSHA, Wis. - Ellen S. Gerber, 92, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, at Brookside Care Center after a brief illness. She was born on June 21, 1923, to the late Sakris and Beda (Strom) Leskela in Bruce Crossing, Mich. She attended schools of Bruce Crossing and graduated from Ewen High School in 1941. HIGGINS LAKE, Mich. — Donna Marie Telling, 68, died at her Higgins Lake home on Dec. 23, 2015. She was born Dec. 21, 1947, in Bessemer to John and Millicent (Trewhella) Re. Donna attended Bessemer schools until 1959, when she moved to Detroit with her mother and siblings to live with her stepfather, Thomas Yalonen. Completing her education in Detroit, Donna became a hairdresser, working first at J.L. Hudson in Southfield, then to Galveston, Texas, and back to Michigan at Curl Up and Dye in Houghton Lake. SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — Patrick Alan Laitinen, 59, passed away at the Memorial Medical Center in Sheboygan. He was born on Dec. 1, 1956, in Wakefield, Mich. Patrick loved fishing, hunting, shooting pool, bowling and riding motor cycles. He worked for Kohler for 34 years. TUCSON, Ariz. — Sharon Lee Schmaus, 75, of Ontonagon, Mich., passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at the University of Arizona Medical Center. Sherry was born June 15, 1940, in Ontonagon, daughter of the late John and Beatrice (Voss) McCarthy. She graduated from Ontonagon High School in 1958.
