    GILE, Wis. - More than 400 pounds of trash were removed from the Gile Flowage during the Friends of the Gile Flowage's recent fall clean-up. According to Ashley Dennis, the program is designed to provide in-need students in Gogebic County with a bag of nutritious and easy-to-prepare food over the winter and spring break.     Preliminary data from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation shows 58 people were killed in traffic-related crashes in October, compared to 46 a year ago.     KING, Wis. - LeRoy Herman Kapelka, 96, long-time resident of Montreal, Wis., passed away Oct. 25, 2017, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King with his family at his side. LeRoy was the first born of four children to Herman and Ruth (Fitzsimmons) Kapelka, in Sauk City, Wis. At the age of 7, Leroy's family moved to Baraboo, Wis., where he grew up.
