    SAXON, Wis. - Nearly 200 people dined on roast beef and all the fixings during a benefit dinner and gun raffle for the Saxon-Gurney Fire Department on Sunday afternoon. According to department members, 189 meals were served during the annual dinner, filling the Saxon Community Center.   • Power restored in Wakefield

    WAKEFIELD — Residents in the city of Wakefield had their power restored on Saturday evening after power outages started early Friday night. The outages began momentarily on Friday afternoon, around 3:30 p.m. But by 5 p.m., power was out entirely in many locations across Gogebic County. On Friday evening, Xcel Energy’s power outage map on its website showed reported outages stretching from Ironwood to Lake Gogebic.     HURLEY - A Winter Formal was held at the Iron County Memorial Building on Saturday night for area high schoolers. Ninth through 12th grade students from Hurley, Ironwood, Bessemer, Wakefield-Marenisco and Mercer were all invited to attend the Hurley fundraiser which lasted from 7 p.m. until midnight, with music beginning at 8 p.m. The dance and dinner is held to raise money for the Hurley Last Blast, a graduation party held in the spring, said Sue Herlevi.     BERGLAND - Mild temperatures drew more than 100 locals and visitors to Lake Gogebic for AJ's Walleye Lodge's annual Lake Gogebic north shore ice fishing tournament this weekend. Owners Jim, Mary Beth and Anthony Eismueller have owned the lodge for about three years and the lodge is named for Jim and Anthony. The couple's son. This is the sixth year the event has taken place.
