DULUTH, Minn. - Paul Eugene Salonen, 70, of Bergland, Mich., passed away on Jan. 22, 2018 in Duluth, after a brief illness. Paul was born on March 17, 1947, to Ernest and Ida Salonen and attended Bergland Community Schools, graduating in the summer of 1965. He enlisted in the United States Air Force later that year, and was stationed at Loring Air Force Base in northeastern Maine for the duration of his service. DE PERE, Wis. — Virginia Bee (Chouinard) Ferkovich passed away peacefully in the morning hours of Jan. 15, 2018. The daughter of Louis J. and Arley L (Rund) Chouinard, Virginia was born on Sept. 9, 1934, in Ironwood, Mich. She attended and graduated from the Ironwood Area Schools system. IRON RIVER, Mich. - Richard "Dick" Williams, 70, of Iron River, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018. He was born May 8, 1947, to Tory Williams and Lillian Poler.
