ONTONAGON, Mich. - Robert Paul Funke, 88, of Ontonagon, passed away on Feb. 4, 2022. He was born in Baraga, in 1933 to Robert E. and Myrtle Agnes (Broemer) Funke. He was a member of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community. He graduated from Baraga High School in 1951 and served in the National Guard. He worked for the village of Baraga until moving to the Ontonagon area. He worked for the White Pine Mine for 25 years and later went into trucking. MELLEN, Wis. - Mary E. Ruha, age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, at the Mellen Manor Nursing Home in Mellen. Mary was born on Dec. 3, 1930, in Ashland, the daughter of Alphonse and Clara (Emmerling) Veno. Mary was united in marriage to Arthur W. Ruha on April 13, 1955, in Carlton, Minnesota.
