    By JAN TUCKER [email protected] WHITE PINE — Steel Fatigue was the cause of the collapse of the skating rink and recreation building in White Pine last week, according to the adjuster who examined the building. The insurance company determination was reported at a meeting of citizens and Carp Lake Township Board on Thursday by Homer Colclasure, a board supervisor.     BRUCE CROSSING, Mich. — Anthony C. Meranda, of Bruce Crossing, passed on Feb. 8, 2020, at the age of 64. He was born in Toledo, Ohio, on Jan. 18, 1956, in Brighton on Clark Lake in lower Michigan near Ann Arbor. He went to school in Howell and went to college at Washtenaw Community College in Ypsilanti. Anthony worked for the Howell Schools for 25 years as a custodian/maintenance person. He moved to the Upper Peninsula in 1996 and got a job at Frontier Builders in Land O’ Lakes, building log homes.
