Participants had a simple goal to make it to the top of the extremely steep Copper Peak hill, zigging and zagging around gates.     By ZACHARY MARANO [email protected] MARQUETTE — A winter weather advisory will be in effect until 6 a.m. CST Wednesday for Ironwood, Watersmeet and surrounding areas, according to the National Weather Service in Marquette.     REPUBLIC, Mich. - Hailie Hoover-Dyer, 56, lost her 12-year battle with cancer on Feb. 17, 2022. She was in the professional and caring hands of the doctors and nurses of the Bell Hospital Critical Care Unit in Ishpeming. She was surrounded by family and friends during her final days.     BERGLAND, Mich. - James Noskowiak, age 80, of Bergland, passed away at the Aspirus Ironwood Hospital on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022. James was born in Antigo, Wisconsin, on Oct. 3, 1941, a son of Louis and Mable (Lenzner) Noskowiak. In January 1963, Jim married Sue Langlois, the couple later divorced. Later, Jim married Mary Frahm, she preceded him in death in 2013. Jim graduated from St. John Catholic Grade School in 1956, then from Antigo High School in 1960.
