IRONWOOD - Wolverine Ski Trails will host the Mountains of the Midwest winter triathlon on Saturday, March 2. The race will include a 6k skate or classic cross-country ski, 8k fat tire bike ride and a 5k snowshoe. Racers can do all three disciplines or form teams of three competitors. TOMAHAWK, Wis. - Elna A. Mears, 88, of Mercer, peacefully joined her beloved husband Don in heaven on Feb. 22, 2019 in Tomahawk. Elna was born on Feb. 15, 1931 in Mercer, Wisconsin to Steve and Marie (Gruenberg) Klyzub. KENTON, Mich. — Joyce M. Winberg, 72, of Kenton, passed away Thursday afternoon, Feb. 21, 2019. Joyce was born on Sept. 5, 1946, in Stambaugh, the daughter of June L. (Cottenham) and Herbert Dove Jr. She attended Iron River High School and graduated in 1964. On Sept. 19, 1964, Joyce was united in marriage to Albert J. Winberg.
