The event along the Iron Belle Trail in Ironwood was organized in part by the Gogebic Range Health Foundation. The route began and ended at the Historic Depot downtown Ironwood. Gordy was born on Nov. 21, 1930, in Copper City, to Micheal and Helmi (Haltunen) Jukuri. He was then adopted at a young age to Mattlius and Mae (Cobb) Koski of Ewen. Evert was born to the late Evert and Ruth Saari in Kimball, Wisconsin, on Nov. 20, 1946.
