HURLEY - When Melinda Roberts was diagnosed with stage-three colon cancer, her life changed forever. Before she received the bad news, Roberts said she had just moved to De Pere in 2011 for a new teaching job. "Within a very short time, I was diagnosed with stage-three colon cancer," Roberts said. CHELSEA, Mich. - Rupert Richard Grant Otto, 96, died on June 16, 2015, at Towsley Village Memory Care Center in Chelsea. He was born May 3, 1919, in Bessemer, the second of three sons born to C.A. Otto and Margaret E. Otto. He married Alice Fretz of Newberry, Mich., on June 1, 1943. Rupert joined the Army in 1942.
