    SUPERIOR, Wis. - Ironwood's Rachel Hudacek won the high jump and three other Red Devils finished in the top three at Friday's Simpson Invitational. Hudacek was the only girl at the meet made up of mostly big schools to clear 5 feet in the high jump. "She had a very good day today, especially for indoors," Ironwood coach Ted Sim said.     WAKEFIELD — Following a meeting with potential City Manager Jason Laumann, the Wakefield City Council Friday made changes to the contract Laumann was offered. Prior to the council meeting, Mayor Joe DelFavero said Laumann received a phone call and had to leave to tend to a family emergency. Bill was born April 3, 1942, to parents Frank William Kurta and Alice Rowe Kurta. After his wonderful birthmother’s passing in 1944, he was raised by his father and loving stepmother, Josephine Kurta.     WAKEFIELD, Mich. - Elaine Frances Greeno, 88, of Ewen, died March 31, 2016, at the Gogebic Medical Care Facility in Wakefield due to complications from Alzheimer's. She was born on Dec. 26, 1927, daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Kipping) Fencil. She attended and graduated from Ewen High School in 1945. On June 7, 1947, she married Edward F.
