    BESSEMER — The Bessemer City Council moved through many items on the agenda Tuesday, but those results were overshadowed twice by heated discussions about which city officials are truly looking out for the city. Jane was born July 1, 1957, in Wakefield, Mich., to the late John and Helen MacLeod, Marenisco. She was born Dec. 3, 1966, in Woodruff, Wis., the daughter of the late Vanard and Judith (Holmes) Babic. Renee attended Mercer (Wis.) Schools. She worked as a housekeeper for Indianhead Ski Resort in Ironwood and Dairyman’s Resort in Boulder Junction, Wis. She enjoyed gardening, hiking and going for rides.     BEAVER DAM, Wis. — Sarah M. Lanford, 95, of Beaver Dam, Wis., passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017. Sarah was born in Millington, Mich., to William and Agnes Cypher. She was the second oldest of 11 children. She graduated from Millington Schools. She lived and worked in the greater Flint, Mich., area as a bookkeeper until moving with her husband Jim to Trenary, Mich.
