SUPERIOR, Wis. - Marian E. Olkonen, 87, lifelong resident of Hurley, died peacefully Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at Twin Ports Health Services in Superior. She was born in Ironwood, Michigan, Aug. 14, 1932, the daughter of Walter and Katherine (Armata) Wierzbicki. Marian was a lady of strong faith and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Kermit "Ed" Rice, 81, originally from Ironwood, passed away on Feb. 29, 2020, at his home in Corpus Christi. He served in the U.S. Navy as an air traffic controller for 22 years, and then worked for the Civil Service in air operations for 17 years.
