Lion member Louise Minisan said the eggs were hidden in several key places in the school. "We separated them by age group, so the older kids didn't overrun the little ones." IRONWOOD, Mich. - Michael Clement "Mike" Mesich, 94, of Ironwood, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, in his daughter and son-in-law's home in Montreal, Wisconsin. Mike was born on Sept. 29, 1928, in Ironwood, a son of John Carl and Anna Mary (Yelich) Mesich. Mike attended Newport grade school and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1947. RAMSAY, Mich. - John "R" Maki, 75, of Ramsay, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, April 6, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. R was born on April 30, 1947, in Hancock, to Barney and Edith Maki. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved his camp "Cool Water" on Chaney Lake. He also loved playing hockey growing up. DULUTH, Minn. — Dennis Puisto, 82, of Ironwood, Michigan, passed away April, 1, 2023, with his children by his side at Essentia Hospital in Duluth. Dennis was born in Ironwood, on Nov. 16, 1940, the son of Axel and Helvi (Ojanen) Puisto. He served as a Military Police officer for the U.S. Air Force for four years after graduating high school.
