The group is part of the Sea to Sea cross-country cycling tour that in the past has stayed in Canada and gone around Lake Superior to the north, but this year wanted to travel around Lake Superior to the south, according to Ed Witvoet, tour consultant.     By IAN MINIELLY [email protected] BESSEMER — A married Wakefield couple faces felony animal cruelty charges for their treatment of eight dogs and 13 cats found malnourished and allegedly abused. Gerard Joseph Herlache, 51, and Lawrence C. Murphy, 52, were each arraigned Monday on two counts of abandoning/cruelty to 10 or more animals.     HURLEY — The deadline to respond to the Iron County University of Wisconsin-Extension office’s grandparents survey has been extended.     HOUGHTON, Mich. — Jill L. Saaranen Sliger passed away the morning of July 30, 2017, at the Omega Cancer Center in Houghton. She was born Oct. 30, 1964, in Wakefield. She graduated from Ewen-Trout Creek High School in 1983 and moved to Tallahassee, Fla., in 1895.
