    ISHPEMING - Not counting relays, nine Ironwood boys and six Red Devils girls qualified for the U.P. track-and-field finals with top-four finishes at Friday's Division 3 regional meet at Westwood High School. Jared Joki won the 1,600 and 3,200 runs and Jake DiGiorgio advanced in the 400 dash and long jump. Isaac Aukee won the pole vault and Noah Terzano was first in the high jump.     HURLEY - Northwoods Manufacturing held its second annual open house all day on Friday at the Hurley K-12 School. A steady stream of visitors flooded the shop throughout the day, talking with the students and watching demonstrations.     BESSEMER — A resolution in support of the state of Michigan controlling the wolf population in the Upper Peninsula was approved by the Gogebic County Board of Commissioners on Wednesday. Denny Ellos, secretary of the Western U.P.
