    MERCER, Wis. - Some of the best culinary talents in the region put their skills to the test Sunday at the Taste of the Northwoods fundraiser at the Mercer Community Center.     IRONWOOD - Proud parents got a chance to see their children's musical talent Sunday afternoon, as the Historic Ironwood Theatre played host to the Ironwood Area Schools' spring concert. District band director Samantha Grace led the school's sixth grade, middle school and high school bands through performances of several songs each. "I've very happy (with the concert)," Grace said.     IRONWOOD — An enthusiastic group of workers came out Saturday morning to work on cleanup and preparation of the Iron Belle Trail for the busy summer season. The project has generated such enthusiasm that a number of participants had done a lot of the work before the scheduled event. The Friends of the Iron Belle Trail were led by Sam and Anne Davey, who coordinated the day’s activities.
