The race is being organized by Luther L. Wright High School cross country coach Benjamin Schmandt.     IRONWOOD, Mich. - Walter James Kusz, 100, of Ironwood, passed on to eternal life on May 19, 2022, at Westgate Nursing Home. Walter was born on March 2, 1922, in Ironwood Township, the son of Joseph and Magdelena (Knopik) Kusz. He was a 1940 graduate of Luther L. Wright High School and attended Gogebic Community College.     IRONWOOD, Mich. — Mary K. Morrison, 76, of Ironwood, went home to Jesus on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Mary was born on Feb. 17, 1946, in the Copper Country. She was the adopted daughter of the late William and Katherine (Helmi) Sormunen of Chassell. She graduated from Chassell High School and later in life she earned her degree as a registered nurse.
