  • Gogebic County jobless picture improves slightly

    The November unemployment rate rose in all but one county, Gogebic, in the western Upper Peninsula. The Gogebic County rate fell just a tick, from 6.2 percent in October to 6.1 percent in November. According to the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget, both the civilian labor force and total employment rose by 50 in November. Total unemployment remained at 400.
