    HURLEY — Elementary and middle school students from the Hurley K-12 School took a different route to school Tuesday, participating in the school’s first Walk to School Day. Students, parents, teachers and staff members lined up at Super One parking lot in Hurley and walked west on Center Drive, dressed in Hawaiian shirts, leis and other tropical garb. There was music and officers from the Iron County Sheriff’s Department and Hurley Police Department escorted the walkers along the route....

    BESSEMER — All area Catholic youth in kindergarten through 12th grade are welcome to a summer program, Totus Tuus, set at St. Sebastian School in Bessemer from Sunday, June 16, through Friday, June 21. A team of college age students from the Diocese of Marquette will lead attendees deeper in the faith through prayer, skits, talks, games and more, a news release said.     WAKEFIELD, Mich. — Darin Michael Annonson, of Wakefield, passed away one day before his 51st birthday on June 10, 2013. Darin fought a courageous battle for many years against his illness. Darin worked in the tree service industry and several odd jobs until he was no longer physically able to.
