GLISSON [email protected] MERCER, Wis. — Persistent rain on Saturday morning reduced participation in two normally popular annual events in Mercer: the Lupine Junefest and the Mercer Bird Fest, both based in Carow Park.     WATERSMEET, Mich. - Connie Rogers, age 72 of Watersmeet, passed away at home on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. Connie was born Oct. 19, 1949, in Austin, Texas, the daughter of Raymundo and Mary Rodriquez. While she was working as a clerk typist at a nuclear plant run by the Atomic Energy Commission in Idaho, she met and married her beloved husband, Mike, and they were together for an incredible 49 years.     MARENISCO, Mich. — Luetta Marie Beninghaus, 79, of Marenisco, Michigan, passed way unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Aspirus Wausau after a brief illness. Luetta was born to parents George Wenz and Catherine (Codd) Wenz on June 20, 1942, in Bessemer Township. Luetta attended Marenisco High School and graduated with the class of 1960.
