MARQUETTE, Mich. - Julius Joseph Tiziani (Tiz), age 84, passed away on March 23, 2015, at his home at 1511 Lynn St., Marquette, following a lengthy illness in the loving care of his family. WAKEFIELD, Mich. - Judith A. Weber, 76, of Ironwood, passed away suddenly Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Gogebic Medical Care Facility in Wakefield after a brief illness. Judy was born Aug. 9, 1938, in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of the late Arthur and Ruth (Petermann) Krueger. On Sept. 14, 1957, she married her childhood sweetheart, David Weber. RAMSAY - The main topic on the agenda for Bessemer Township's annual meeting on Monday night was setting the budget for the next fiscal year. IRONWOOD — The Ironwood Area Schools Board of Education approved a one-day unpaid suspension for school bus driver Jerry Hitter after the bus he was driving was involved in an accident in Negaunee while returning home from the regional basketball tournament in Marquette on March 16. According to Negaunee Police Chief Jay Frusti, Hitter was driving west on U.S. 41 at 8:30 p.m. when he didn’t notice a red light at Baldwin Avenue.
