Wright K-12 School's last day of school was June 3, but Ironwood Area Schools staff are still serving meals to youth in the community over summer break. The school's summer food service program offers lunch at the Ironwood Depot Park from 11 a.m. to noon on Mondays through Fridays through Aug. 19.     BERGLAND, Mich. - Michael A. Streeter, 71, a longtime resident of Bergland, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Mike was born on June 16, 1950, in Ontonagon, a son of Arthur Elmer and Elizabeth "Betty" (Davies) Streeter. On June 26, 1971, Mike married Janice M. Lyberg in L'Anse. They made their home in Bergland and were blessed with a son. He graduated from Bergland High School in 1968, and continued his education at Gogebic Community College... Full story

    RAMSAY, Mich. - Marie K. (Rocco) Levelius, 101, a longtime resident of Ramsay, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 19, 2022, after a brief illness. Marie was born on May 27, 1921, in Wakefield, a daughter of Emil and Tillie (Marita) Rocco. She attended Ramsay School and graduated from A.D. Johnston High School in Bessemer, with the class of 1938. Marie's early years were spent during the summer on the Marita farm in Highbridge, Wisconsin.
