GLISSON [email protected] WAKEFIELD — The Wakefield city council voted Monday evening to enact monthly “Coffee with Council” sessions as a means of encouraging public input. “The purpose would be just to provide an informal setting for residents to come in and share ideas and thoughts,” said city manager Rob Brown to the council. Kolehmainen Sr., 82, of White Pine, Mich., passed away June 25, 2019, with his family by his side, at Unity Hospice in De Pere, where he had been a patient for a short time. Phil had been valiantly battling neuroendocrine cancer for six months. It had been an enormously emotional struggle of victories and defeats. But like in all endeavors, he gave it his all.
