    BESSEMER - While the Fourth of July weekend has become filled with cookouts and fireworks, a small crowd gathered in downtown Bessemer Sunday to recite the Declaration of Independence and mark the historical context of the holiday. Now in its 50th year, the Erwin Area Picnic started following the Erwin School's closure in 1967.     BLACK RIVER HARBOR — Volunteers will gather at Ottawa National Forest July 11 to restore the historic Black River Harbor pavilion.
