    BESSEMER — David and Denise Solie of Columbus Wisconsin, claimed the record high Bessemer 50-50 prize of $36,996 on Friday afternoon.     BESSEMER, Mich. - Valerie Kay "Val" Reed, 51, of Bessemer, passed away peacefully at her home on July 15, 2019. She was born on March 2, 1968, to Lawrence and Karina (Mandelin) Beauchamp in Wakefield. She graduated from A.D. Johnson High School in 1987, and she went on to earn her CDL through Gogebic County Community College in 2017. Valerie was a bartender, CDL holder, upholsterer, and jack-of-all-trades.
