In the 19-day period between July 2-20, 33 people in the county tested positive for the coronavirus. “Testing is encouraged for anyone who is having symptoms or has been in contact with a known case. She lived through Nazi-occupied Austria and escaped the Russians/Mongolians at the end of World War II.     WAUSAU, Wis. - Dorothy "Dot" Valentino, 82, of Merrill, and previously of Ironwood, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at the Benedictine Living Community in Wausau. Dorothy was born the daughter of Humbert and Esther (Erickson) Landretti on Jan. 10, 1939, in Ironwood. She was a 1957 graduate of Luther L. Wright High High School in Ironwood.
