IRON RIVER, Mich. - Howard "Jim" J. Madson, 87, of Watersmeet, passed away Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014, at Northstar Health System in Iron River. He was born Oct. 17, 1926, in Merrill, Wis., the son of the late Carl and Catherine (Hansen) Madson. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Jim married the former Sylvia Scheu on April 12, 1947, in Merrill. NEGAUNEE, Mich. — Lorraine Metsala, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday morning Sept. 21, 2014, at the Eastwood Nursing Center in Negaunee with her daughters by her side.
