Ev was born in Pence, Wisconsin, where he lived most of his life, on Aug. 24, 1932, son of the late of Peter and Madeline (Bracket) Smee. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Christine; five children, Ed Jr., Cindy (Brian), Dave, Lauri (Bob) and Patty (Cory); eight grandchildren, Alysha, Kailey, Abbey, Trevor, Darienne, Mariah, Ethan and Connor; and one great-grandson, Carter.
