    By RICHARD JENKINS [email protected] MADISON, Wis. — It took until 1:24 a.m. Wednesday for the Associated Press to call the race, but Democrat Tony Evers will be the next governor of Wisconsin, defeating Republican incumbent Scott Walker’s bid for a third term in office in Tuesday’s election. In a race that initially appeared to be headed for a recount, Evers received 1,324,648 votes to Walker’s 1,293,799.     By RALPH ANSAMI [email protected] Republican Greg Markkanen squeaked by Democrat Ken Summers in Michigan’s 110th State Representative race Tuesday. The final vote tally, tabulated well after midnight, was 17,980 to 17,401. Summers, from L’Anse, beat Markkanen, from Hancock, 3,485 to 2,895 in Gogebic County.     MINOCQUA, Wis. - Robert (Bob) John Harry Pace, 66, passed away on Nov. 1, 2018, after a courageous battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Bob was born on April 17, 1952, in Chicago, Ill., to Jean M. and Robert M. Pace. Bob graduated from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota.
