The final vote tally, tabulated well after midnight, was 17,980 to 17,401. Summers, from L’Anse, beat Markkanen, from Hancock, 3,485 to 2,895 in Gogebic County. MINOCQUA, Wis. - Robert (Bob) John Harry Pace, 66, passed away on Nov. 1, 2018, after a courageous battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Bob was born on April 17, 1952, in Chicago, Ill., to Jean M. and Robert M. Pace. Bob graduated from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota.
