In addition to regular First Friday events, there was an animal showcase and scavenger hunt hosted by HOPE Animal Shelter in Ironwood. Local artisans and craft vendors set up their tables indoors at Incredible Bank and Cold Iron Brewing in Ironwood. IRONWOOD, Mich. - David Milton Hjalmquist, 92, of Ironwood passed away on Nov. 4, 2021, at his home in Ironwood. David was born Jan. 30, 1929, in Ironwood, the son of the late Lars and Mamie (Nyman) Hjalmquist. He graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1947, then attended Gogebic Junior College, and attended Michigan State University graduating in 1955.
