    IRONWOOD — The weather forecasters were accurate in predicting the 6.5 inches of snow that fell for Ironwood beginning Wednesday evening and carrying through Friday morning. The Gogebic-Iron Wastewater Treatment Plant weather station off U.S. 2 measured 4.5 inches for the 24-hour period to 7 a.m. Thursday and 2 more inches for the period to 7 a.m. Friday.     RHINELANDER, Wis. — James A. “Jim” Paulman, 61, of Rhinelander, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, at Friendly Village. Jim was born Sept. 10, 1956, in Wakefield, to the late Louis and Barbara (Swanson) Paulman. Jim was raised and attended school in Bergland, Mich. He graduated in 1974 from Bergland High School. He married Agnes Turk, of Bessemer, on Aug. 14, 1976, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Bergland. The Rev. Wayne E. Marcotte officiated. They enjoyed 41 years together.     ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. — Phyllis M. Leinonen, of Summerdale, Ala., was born Dec. 27, 1938, in Poplar, Wis. to Emil and Helen (nee Nykanen) Hietala. She died peacefully on Nov. 9, 2017, at her son’s home in Arlington Heights, surrounded by her family. Phyllis worked at Zion-Benton HS and Warren THS in Lake County, Ill. In retirement, she was an excellent pianist and singer, performing in retirement homes and churches in southern Alabama and northern Wisconsin and Michigan.
