The two feet of heavy snow that Hurley received in the past two weeks has shut down the work by Ross Peterson Construction, of Hurley. Carr, 66, of Harding Avenue, Ironwood, died peacefully early Thursday morning, Nov. 16, 2017, in his home, surrounded by his loving family, following a courageous battle with colon cancer. He was born Feb. 16, 1951, in Stockton, Calif., son of Helen (Estola) and the late Weldon Carr. He grew up in Ann Arbor and graduated from Ann Arbor High School in 1969. He then resided in California and later in Texas, where he worked as a sheet metal fabricator in oil fields.... Full story
