    To the Editor: I attended the Gogebic Range Honors Band performance on Friday night at the Historic Ironwood Theatre. The students who played were selected by their individual band directors to take part. To say that I was impressed is quite the understatement. Stephen Grugin, an associate professor of music from Northern Michigan University, came to work with the students during the day on an array of music that ran the musical gamut.     IRONWOOD, Mich. — Dennis Lee Knutilla, 68, of Florence Street, Ironwood, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at home. He was born on April 18, 1945, in Ironwood, son of the late Bernhardt and Marie (Clairmont) Knutilla, and had resided in Ironwood all of his life. Dennis attended Ironwood schools, graduating from Luther L. Wright High School with the class of 1963. In high school he was active in ROTC and with the ski team. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.     RHINELANDER, Wis. - A cappella group the Alley Cats will perform a holiday concert Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m. at the Nicolet College Theatre in Rhinelander. The show, "Jingle Bell Rock - A Harmoniously Hysterical Holiday Hit," will feature "tight harmonies, smooth dance moves and high-energy doo-wop tunes," a news release said.
